Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for the design of the new Emergency Medical Services <br />facility. Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the Board he had received the following <br />bids: <br />Franceschi Architects $ 29,200 <br />Charlotte, NC <br />The Wooten Company $ 30,200 <br />Raleigh, NC <br />Mullins/Sherman $ 31,175 <br />Sanford, NC <br />Moore & Burton Architects $ 31,380 <br />Raleigh, NC <br />Mr. Cole told the Board a committee made up of himself, Chairman Garner, <br />Commissioner Moretz, County Manager William Cowan and Emergency Services <br />Director Warren Lee had interviewed representatives from each company. Commissioner <br />Reives moved to approve the recommendation of the committee to award the bid to <br />Mullins/Sherman, Sanford, NC, with a bid of $31,175. Commissioner Moretz seconded <br />the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />8 <br />
