0023 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered Tax Releases and Refunds for April and May, 1996. Tax <br />Administrator Nathan Crissman answered questions of the Board. Commissioner Groce <br />moved to approve Tax Releases and Refunds for April and May, 1996, copies which are <br />attached to these minutes, and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Reives <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the write-off of delinquent ambulance bills for deceased <br />individuals. Tax Administrator Nathan Crissman presented the Board with a list of <br />ambulance accounts for deceased individuals and asked them to write off these bills before <br />they are turned over to an attorney for collection. After some discussion Commissioner <br />Groce moved to approve the write-off of delinquent ambulance bills for deceased <br />individuals. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a list of attorneys willing to assist with the collection of <br />Emergency Services bills that are over 18 months old. Tax Administrator Nathan <br />Crissman presented the following list to the Board for consideration: <br />Susan Feindel, Sanford, NC <br />Chris Kremer, Sanford, NC <br />Elizabeth Peterson, Durham, NC <br />Fred Webb, Jr., Sanford, NC <br />J. Thomas West, Lillington, NC <br />After some discussion Commissioner Moretz moved to award services to Lee County <br />Attorneys Susan Feindel, Chris Kremer and Fred Webb, Jr. Commissioner Groce <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />5 <br />
