The Board considered a resolution in honor of Carolina Trace as one of "The 20 Best Retirement Communities in America" by NEW CHOICES Magazine. Commissioner Matthews moved approval of the following resolution: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Carolina Trace Country Club was, on June 17, 1996, again designated one of "The 20 Best Retirement Communities in America" by NEW CHOICES magazine, a publication of Reader's Digest books; and WHEREAS, Carolina Trace Country Club is the only retirement community throughout North Carolina to be so honored, especially two years in a row. NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County, North Carolina, as follows: 1. That the management and residents of Carolina Trace Country Club are congratulated on being designated one of "The 20 Best Retirement Communities in America" by NEW CHOICES magazine for two years in a row. 2. That it expresses its appreciation to the residents of Carolina Trace Country Club for their many contributions to the social, business, cultural and religious life of our County and wish for them many more years of continued success.
