00.31 <br />soak 16 Fa'E 451 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the County <br />of Lee as follows: <br />1. That it desires the official state water supply watershed protection <br />map(s) for WS-IV classification run-of-the-river water supply intakes in all areas over <br />which the County has jurisdiction, (as prepared by the Division of Environmental <br />Management of the North Carolina Department of Environment, Health and Natural <br />Resources), be amended so as to reflect the interpretive statement as here in above <br />described. <br />2. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Division of <br />Environmental Management as soon as practicable so as to inform the Commission of the <br />provisions hereof. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows. <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Gamer, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the Budget Ordinance and Tax Levy for FY 1996/97. <br />Commissioner Groce moved an additional $250,000 be added to the Lee County Schools <br />Budget for the reading program and $65,000 for the Parents As Teachers program. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Groce and Reives <br />Nay: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews and Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion failed with a five to two vote. <br />After further discussion Commissioner Moretz moved to give the Lee County Schools <br />$250,000 from Capital Outlay (which had been designated for the Wilrik Hotel project). <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce and Matthews <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had failed with a five to two vote. <br />After still further discussion Commissioner Cox moved to adopt the Budget Ordinance <br />and Tax Levy for FY 1996/97 as presented, a copy of which is attached to these minutes <br />and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />13 <br />
