0029 <br />F005 16 FIXE 449 <br />After further discussion Commissioner Reives moved to reconsider the last motion <br />concerning legal services for the Child Support Enforcement Program. Commissioner <br />Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews and Reives <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one vote. <br />After still further discussion Commissioner Cox moved to award legal services for the <br />Child Support Enforcement Program to Attorney Steve Watkins. Commissioner Reives <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the Lee-Harnett Mental Health 1996/97 pay <br />plan, Commissioner Croce moved to approve the 1996/97 Lee-Harnett Mental Health <br />pay plan. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews and Reives <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one vote. <br />The Board discussed the selling of malt beverages in Lee County. Commissioner <br />Moretz moved this matter be placed on a future ballot for the citizens of Lee County to <br />vote on. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion. After further discussion <br />Commissioner Reives made a substitute motion for this item to be placed on a future <br />agenda for a public hearing. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote of <br />the substitute motion, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: Dossenbach and Garner <br />The Chairman ruled the motion passed by a five to two vote. <br />The Board considered a voting delegate for the 1996 annual conference in Winston <br />Salem, North Carolina on August 22-25, 1996. Commissioner Matthews moved to <br />appoint Chairman Garner as the voting delegate from Lee County for the 1996 annual <br />conference. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />11 <br />
