0019 <br />au 18 r . 430 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />JUNE 24, 1996 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 3:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' <br />present were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Van R. Groce; <br />Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was transacted: <br />J Commissioner Van Groce delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered approval of the draft of the minutes' of the April 29, 1996 <br />closed session; May 8, 1996 closed session and the June 3, 1996 regular meeting. <br />Commissioner Cox moved to approve the minutes' as the official record of said meetings. <br />Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Board considered a renewal maintenance agreement with the City of Sanford. <br />After some discussion Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the 3-year renewal <br />maintenance agreement with the City of Sanford. Commissioner Cox seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. County Manager William Cowan <br />asked the Board to add budget amendment # 06/24/96/28 to the agenda for consideration; <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle asked the Board to consider an Occupational Health <br />Services Agreement with Central Carolina Hospital; Chairman Garner asked the Board to <br />consider a request and resolution to add Bob White Lane to the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation State Maintained Secondary Road System; and <br />Commissioner Reives asked for the Board to consider and discuss (1) the Lee County <br />
