Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Board the Planning <br />Board recommended approval of a petition by Jeff Yow to rezone from Highway <br />Commercial Conditional Use District to Highway Commercial District 2.00 acres of land <br />at 2903 Jefferson Davis Highway. Commissioner Groce moved to approve the <br />recommendations of the Planning Board. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Averett told the Board the Planning Board recommended approval of the <br />petition by Kelly and Angela Douglas to rezone from Residential Restricted District to <br />Residential Agricultural District 12.4 acres of land at 6838 Sanders Road. Commissioner <br />Matthews moved to approve the recommendations of the Planning Board. Commissioner <br />Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows; <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Averett gave the Board a report on the proposed amendments to the Lee <br />County Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. He asked the Board to set a date for a public <br />hearing on the matter. The general concensus of the Board was to hold a public hearing <br />on this matter at the September 16, 1996 meeting. <br />Mr. Averett discussed with the Board the revised Lee County Watershed <br />Protection Ordinance. After some discussion Commissioner Groce moved to set a date <br />for a public hearing on September 16, 1996, at 7:00 p.m. or as soorr thereafter as can be <br />scheduled to hear this matter. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Groce discussed with the Board a matter involving a minor sub- <br />division.
