iOOR 16 518 <br />0008 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the purchase of Orthophotos for the Land Records Office. <br />Tax Administrator Roger Kelley asked the Board to approve a purchase order for $23,655 <br />to American Geographic Data, Inc. to cover the purchase of the next group of <br />Orthophotos to be flown, which includes a hard copy and digital files. After some <br />discussion Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the purchase of Orthophotos for the <br />Land Records Office at a cost of $23,655. Commissioner Groce seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the employment of a law enforcement officer to serve child <br />support summons for the Department of Social Services. Sheriff Billy Bryant asked the <br />Board to approve the employment of a law enforcement officer to serve child support <br />papers for IV-D (Child Support) from the Department of Social Services. He told the <br />Board this individual would spend most of his/her time in the serving of IV-D papers, and <br />any remaining time spent on other matters as needed in the Sheriff's Office. After some <br />discussion Commissioner Cox moved to approve the hiring of an additional officer to <br />serve IV-D papers for the Department of Social Services. Commissioner Matthews <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Garner took this time to present a resolution to Charlie Spivey and <br />James "Sonny" Yow, representatives of the Lee Senior High School baseball team, for <br />their recent winning of the State Class 4-A Baseball Championship on June 9, 1996. <br />The Board considered amendments to the Lee County Animal Control Ordinance. <br />Health Director Phyllis Lowry presented to the Board a revised proposed Lee County <br />Animal Control Ordinance as recommended by the Ad Hoc Committee that met on this <br />matter on June 18, 1996. After some discussion Commissioner Dossenbach moved to <br />hold a public hearing on this proposed Ordinance on August 19, 1996 at 7:00 p.m. or as <br />soon thereafter as can be scheduled on the agenda. Commissioner Reives seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />5 <br />
