Hoyle presented a resolution calling for a public hearing on an ordinance imposing a <br />monthly E911 charge. Commissioner Reives moved approval of the following: <br />RESOLUTION <br />CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON AN ORDINANCE <br />IWOSING A MONTHLY 911 CHARGE <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE <br />COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: A public hearing be held upon the adoption of an Ordinance <br />to impose a monthly 911 charge upon each exchange access facility subscribed to by <br />telephone subscribers in Lee County on the 19th day of August, 1996, at 7:00 p.m. or as <br />soon thereafter as said matter can be reached on the agenda for said meeting in courtroom <br />number four on the second floor of the old Lee County Courthouse, 1408 S. Horner <br />Boulevard, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk to the Board is authorized and directed to <br />give public notice of public hearing in accordance with provisions of North Carolina <br />General Statute 62-4(B)(2). <br />ORDINANCE <br />IMPOSING A MONTHLY 911 CHARGE <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE <br />COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: There is hereby imposed a monthly 911 charge of $1.00 <br />upon each exchange access facility subscribed to by telephone subscribers whose exchange <br />access lines are in Lee County, North Carolina. <br />SECTION 2: This Ordinance and the imposition and collection of the <br />changes as provided in the Ordinance shall become effective 120 days following the date <br />of the adoption of this Ordinance. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />3 <br />
