5 <br />they wanted recommendations from the Planning Board at the September 9, 1996 work <br />session. No action was taken on the matter. <br />Emergency Services Director Warren Lee introduced Mr. Tom Collie, Regional J <br />Coordinator with the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services and Ms. <br />Kathy McPhail, Risk Manager with the City of Fayetteville. They respectfully gave brief <br />accounts of their job duties as Training Officer and Risk Manager. No action was taken <br />on the matter. <br />The Board discussed procedures for conditional use permits. Commissioner <br />Matthews told the Board County Attorney K. R. Hoyle had done some research on the <br />matter and she wished for Conditional Use Permits to be handled in one meeting. <br />Discussion followed but no action was taken on the matter. <br />At 9:45 a.m. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to extend the meeting time an <br />additional ten minutes to continue with agenda matters. Commissioner Cox seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Gamer, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting <br />continued. <br />The Board discussed a water purchase contract between the City of Sanford and <br />the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1. County Manager William Cowan <br />discussed with the Board a contract approved by the Board of Aldermen which reflected <br />changes that were agreed upon during a meeting held two weeks ago between city and <br />county representatives. No action was taken on the matter. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to adjourn the meeting.
