Steele Street; Kay Bolton of 504 Carbonton <br />Road and Gail Myers of 1508 Crepe Myrtle Drive. April Moyer of 4119 Nicholson Road <br />stated the County needed an ordinance but not the proposed one being considered because <br />it had too many gray areas of concern for her. Mr. Dallas Harper of 3511 Cemetery Road <br />spoke against a County Lease Law; and Bill Norris, a member of the Lee County Health <br />Board spoke on behalf of the Health Board. Harold and Elaine Guerard of 8304 Thomas <br />Kelly Road made comments. <br />Mr. David Tarpey of 1317 Brickyard Road spoke in favor of the sale of malt <br />beverages in Lee County. <br />The following spoke in opposition to the sell of malt beverages in Lee County: <br />Rev. Del Parkinson of 2312 Sutpin Road and pastor of First Baptist Church; Marquetta <br />Baker of 214 S. Baker Drive; Rev. John Sauls, Jr. of 208 Edgewater Drive, Broadway; <br />Ken Jackson of 9127 Doe Run Drive and Rev. Steve Johnson of 6401 Zion Church Road. <br />Commissioner Moretz moved to close the public hearings. Commissioner Groce <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Planning Board recommended to the Commissioners the rezoning petition for <br />Wendell Johnson be approved. Commissioner Cox moved to accept the recommendation <br />of the Planning Board. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Johnson was asked to come forward and tell the Board what his plans are for <br />the property being rezoned, of which he stated it would be used for warehouse sales and <br />service and storage trailer rental. Commissioner Reives moved to accept Mr. Johnson's <br />uses for the property rezoning request. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />13 <br />
