County Manager William Cowan told the Board on July 10, 1996 proposals were <br />solicited from qualified vendors for professional services pertaining to addressing and <br />mapping of the County for the purposes of implication of Enhanced 911. The following <br />bids were received on August 1, 1996: <br />Aerial Images $ 234,114.00 <br />American Geographic Data $ 181,685.00 <br />L. Robert Kimball $ 336,260.00 <br />A negotiated sum of $169,850.00 has been worked out with American Geographic Data. <br />After some discussion Commissioner Reives moved to approve the following resolution <br />and award the bid to American Geographic Data, at a negotiated cost of $169,850.00: <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />THAT WHEREAS, the County of Lee desires to contract professional services for <br />addressing for Enhanced 911; and <br />WHERAS, the County of Lee has previously disseminated requests for bids in <br />connection for professional services for addressing for Enhanced 911 for the County of <br />Lee; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to such request for County of Lee has now received sealed <br />bids from Aerial Images, Inc.; American Geographic Data, Inc., and L. Robert Kimball & <br />Associates; and <br />WHEREAS, such bids have been reviewed by the appropriate representatives of <br />the County of Lee; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that American Geographic Data, Inc. <br />submitted the lowest bid and it has been determined that American Geographic Data, Inc. <br />is a responsible entity and that the bid submitted by it is responsive; and <br />WHEREAS, the bid received from American Geographic Data, Inc. was <br />negotiated to make reasonable changes in the specifications; and <br />3 <br />
