r 579 <br />0 0 5'7 <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />(Revised-September 9, 1996) <br />The public will take notice that joint public hearings will be held by the Lee County <br />Board of Commissioners and the Lee County Planning Board in Courtroom No. 4 in the <br />Old Courthouse, 1408 South Homer Blvd., Sanford, NC on Monday, September 16, <br />1996 to consider proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance of Lee County, the <br />Subdivision Regulations for Lee County, and the Watershed Protection Ordinance of Lee <br />County, NC. The hearings will begin at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as deemed <br />practical by the Board of Commissioners. <br />Public Hearing on Proposed Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance. Amendments to the <br />text of the Zoning Ordinance for consideration are summarized as follows: <br />1. Amend Article V11, Section 3. "Table of Permitted Uses" to allow all types of <br />subdivisions (major & minor ) in every zoning district. <br />2. Amend Article V, Article VII, Section 1. "Intent of Zoning Districts" and Section <br />3. "Table of Permitted Uses" to include newly proposed residential <br />zoning districts as follows: <br />Residential Agricultural (RA-80/65) District <br />Residential Agricultural (RA-50/40) District <br />Residential Restricted (RR45/40) District <br />Residential Restricted (RR-15) District <br />Residential Mixed (RM45/40) District <br />Residential Mixed (RM-15) District <br />For each district above a corresponding conditional use district will also be <br />established. Permitted uses for each district will be the same as those established <br />in Section 3 for the existing, respective Residential Agricultural, Residential <br />Restricted, or Residential Mixed Zoning Districts, including any changes in The <br />Table of Permitted Uses as proposed herein. <br />3. Amend Article VIII, Section 1. "Table of Area and Yard Requirements" <br />to establish the average/minimum lot sizes for the existing Residential <br />Agricultural (RA), Residential Restricted (RR), and Residential Mixed (RM) <br />Zoning Districts and the newly proposed Residential Agricultural (RA-80/65), <br />Residential Agricultural (RA-50/40), Residential Restricted (RR-45/40), <br />Residential Restricted (RR-15), Residential Mixed (RM45/40), and Residential <br />Mixed (RM-15) Districts as shown below: <br />
