0047 <br />Boon 16 F?s_ 599 <br />Mr. John Johnson of 4612 Gunston Place, Raleigh, NC, spoke in favor of the <br />proposed amendment changes. <br />The following spoke in opposition to the proposed amendments: <br />Dowell Eakes, 802 Eakes Road, Sanford, NC <br />Neil Godfrey, Golden Road Drive, Whispering Pines, NC <br />Mark Lyczkowski, 1616 Pendergrass Road, Sanford, NC <br />Ed Harris, 4408 Blackstone Road, Sanford, NC <br />Mr. Averett outlined for the Boards' and general public the proposed revision to <br />the Watershed Protection Ordinance of Lee County. <br />No one spoke in favor of the proposed revisions. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach stated that Ms. Laura Young of 7500 Deep River <br />Road, Sanford, NC, had contacted him by telephone and stated that more scientific study <br />needed to be done before the Watershed Protection Ordinance of Lee County was <br />adopted. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the proposed revisions. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to close the public hearings. Commissioner Cox <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered amendments to the Lee County Zoning Ordinance, <br />Subdivision Ordinance and Watershed Protection Ordinance of Lee County. After some <br />discussion Commissioner Reives moved to amend the Lee County Zoning Ordinance to <br />allow manufactured homes, including single wides, as a permitted use-by-right in <br />residential agricultural "RA" district. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Groce moved to amend the Lee County Zoning Ordinance to allow <br />two (2) dwellings per tract of land, provided that the second dwelling was occupied or <br />restricted to a member of the immediate family of the occupant of the principal dwelling <br />16 <br />
