Following the Board's discussion in closed session Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to go out of closed session. Commissioner Reives seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The meeting recessed until 7:00 p.m. <br />Upon returning at 7:00 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom of the old Lee County <br />Courthouse at 1408 South Horner Blvd., with all members present, the meeting resumed <br />for public hearings as scheduled for this date and time. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to open the public hearings with members of the <br />Planning Board. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett outlined for the Boards' and general public the <br />proposed Lee County Zoning Ordinance changes. <br />Mr. Harvey Forbes of 300 Carthage Street spoke in favor of the proposed Lee <br />County rezoning amendments. <br />The following spoke in opposition to the proposed Lee County rezoning <br />amendments: <br />Ed Harris, 4408 Blackstone Road, Sanford, NC <br />Dowell Eakes, 802 Eakes Road, Sanford, NC <br />John Johnson, 4612 Gunston Place, Raleigh, NC <br />John McLeod, 8711 Border Line Road, Sanford, NC <br />Edward Angel, 3421 Swann Station Road, Sanford, NC <br />James Wicker, 811 Valley Road, Sanford, NC <br />Gerald Womble, 315 N.
