This item was
heard at the August 19, 1996 public hearing when Mrs. Plyer asked to rezone from
Residential Mixed District to Highway Commercial District a tract of land located at 6416
Pine Forest Road. At the September 16, 1996 regular meeting the Planning Board
recommended approval of this rezoning request. After some discussion of the matter at
the September 16th meeting the matter was tabled. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to
approve the Planning Board's decision to rezone from Residential Mixed District to
Highway Commercial District. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion. During the
discussion Commissioner Reives asked the Planning Department to give more support
from the Planning Board as to why this request was approved. After further discussion
Commissioner Dossenbach withdrew his motion and asked the matter be placed on the
agenda for the next work session which will be held on October 14, 1996.
The Board considered approval of the agenda.
