BOOK 16 PacE 661 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR WORK SESSION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA MONDAY, OCTOBER 14, 1996 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State J of North Carolina, convened at 7:30 a.m. in the Gordon A. Wicker Community Conference Room at the Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' present were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Van R. Groce; Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. Chairman Garner presided and the following business was transacted. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. The Board considered approval of the minutes of the September 9, 1996 regular work session. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered approval of the agenda. Commissioner Moretz asked the Board to delete discussion of the merger of the County and City Inspections Departments until the City Manager could be present. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the agenda as printed, with the above deletion. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered a rezoning petition by Sandra Koon Plyer. This item was heard at a public hearing on August 19, 1996 and tabled at the October 7, 1996 regular meeting. Ms. Sandra Koon Plyer asked the Board why this item had been tabled and
