,elk <br />® 0009 <br />aaox 16 pm; 641 <br />deadline to November 16, 1996 for the Department of Transportation, who is the main <br />customer at this time. Commissioner Cox moved to approve extending the deadline to <br />November 16, 1996, as recommended. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the preliminary floor plans for the new EMS building. <br />Public Works Director Kenny Cole asked the Board to consider approval of these plans so <br />Mullins, Sherman Architect can proceed with the project. After much discussion <br />Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the preliminary floor plans, with a minor change <br />of a door being installed between the lounge area and training room. Commissioner <br />Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered budget amendment # 10/21/96/09. Finance Director Lisa <br />Minter answered questions of the Board. Commissioner Moretz moved to approve <br />budget amendment # 10/21/96/09, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon <br />a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered appointments to the Land Use Steering Committee. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett recommended two individuals from the Lee County <br />Planning Board as replacements for this committee. After some discussion Commissioner <br />Groce moved to table the appointments to the next regular meeting on November 4, 1996 <br />and instructed Mr. Averett to advertise the vacancies to the public. Commissioner Reives <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />9 <br />
