Commissioner Cox moved to approve extending the deadline to November 16, 1996, as recommended. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered the preliminary floor plans for the new EMS building. Public Works Director Kenny Cole asked the Board to consider approval of these plans so Mullins, Sherman Architect can proceed with the project. After much discussion Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the preliminary floor plans, with a minor change of a door being installed between the lounge area and training room. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered budget amendment # 10/21/96/09. Finance Director Lisa Minter answered questions of the Board. Commissioner Moretz moved to approve budget amendment # 10/21/96/09, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered appointments to the Land Use Steering Committee. Planning Director Trevis Averett recommended two individuals from the Lee County Planning Board as replacements for this committee. After some discussion Commissioner Groce moved to table the appointments to the next regular meeting on November 4, 1996 and instructed Mr. Averett to advertise the vacancies to the public. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. 9
