Commissioner Dossenbach moved to <br />approve the purchase of material for nine (9) signs and installation by the Lee County <br />Public Works Department as presented above. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, and Matthews <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to one vote. <br />The Board considered the financial statement of the Sanford-Lee County Regional <br />Airport Authority. Mr. Bob Nelson, CPA with Dixon, Odom & Co., L.L.P. discussed <br />briefly the financial statement and answered questions of the Board. After some <br />discussion Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the financial statement of the <br />Sanford-Lee County Regional Airport Authority as presented. Commissioner Matthews <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews and Moretz <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a revised incentive policy for Economic Development. <br />Economic Development Director Don Moss presented to the Board an updated proposed <br />incentive policy for Lee County based on comments from the Board at the October 14, <br />1996 work session. After some discussion Commissioner Groce moved to approve the <br />proposed Lee County Incentive Policy, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and <br />by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, and Matthews <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to one vote. <br />The Board considered the purchase of automobiles for the Sheriffs Department. <br />Sheriff Billy Bryant asked the Board to consider the purchase of eight (8) automobiles for <br />his department which would consist of the following: <br />one (1) 1997 Ford Crown Victoria LX for the Sheriff ($22,005.50) <br />one (1) 1997 Ford Crown Victoria LX for the Chief ($21,431.50) <br />five (5) 1997 Ford Crown Victoria's for the Patrol Division/ <br />Detectives ($96,860.00) <br />one (1) 1997 Ford Crown Victoria patrol car for the Child <br />Support Officer position ($22,798.16) <br />7 <br />
