Roos 16 rrcl ti 0 0 2, 3 <br />William Cowan to meet with Attorney Jimmy Love, Sr., and School Superintendent Steve <br />Wrenn and work on this matter. No action was taken on the matter. <br />Commissioner Cox moved that a letter of appreciation be sent to the Cape Fear, <br />Carolina Trace, Lemon Springs and Boone Trail Volunteer Fire Departments for their <br />work and assistance at a fire at the Broadway School earlier this month. Commissioner <br />Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the donation of $1,000.00 from The Kiwanis Club of <br />Sanford to the THANKS Program. Community Corrections Director Randell Woodruff <br />asked the Board to approve this donation. Commissioner Reives moved to accept the <br />$1,000.00 donation from The Kiwanis Club of Sanford to the THANKS Program as <br />presented. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to appoint Mr. Wesley Shackleford to the Lee <br />County Economic Development Committee. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Cox moved to recess the meeting and go into the Lee County <br />Water and Sewer District No. 1 meeting. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the Board <br />discussed matters in the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1 meeting. Following <br />discussion in the Water and Sewer District meeting Commissioner Cox moved to adjourn <br />
