0025 <br />BOOK 16 rASE 689 <br />Residential Restricted 45/40 District a tract of land located at 1824 Broadway Road <br />consisting of 62.17 acres of land. <br />Mr. Mark Lyczkowski of 1616 Pendergrass Road spoke in favor of the rezoning <br />petition for owner Alex Autry. <br />Ms. Camile Welsh of 1903 Broadway Road expressed concerns she had <br />concerning the rezoning petition. <br />Mr. Averett discussed an amendment to the provisions of Article X, "Signs" in the <br />Lee County Zoning Ordinance. <br />Mr. Jerry Vaughn, Vice President of Parish Sign & Service Incorporated, Hwy. <br />401 South, Raeford, North Carolina, spoke in favor of the amendment to the Zoning <br />Ordinance. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the amendment. <br />Economic Development Director Don Moss spoke briefly concerning the public <br />hearing on the agreement for the grant of Lee County funds. <br />Mr. Chuck McArthur, Vice President of Imperial Freezer, spoke in favor of the <br />grant of Lee County funds. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the grant. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle spoke briefly concerning the approval in principle of <br />the industrial project for Lee Iron & Metal Company, Inc. in the principal amount of up to <br />$2,000,000. <br />Mr. Scott Carpenter of 2621 Wellington Drive and Economic Development <br />Director Don Moss spoke in favor of the project. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the project. <br />Commissioner Moretz moved to close the public hearings. Commissioner Cox <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />11 <br />
