4. 0' 0 of <br />5i g 16 ma 700 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, DECEMBER 2, 1996 <br />A swearing in ceremony for newly elected Commissioners for the County of Lee, <br />/ State of North Carolina, was held at the old Lee County Courthouse, 1408 S. Homer <br />Boulevard, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, December 2, 1996, at 9:00 a.m. Judge <br />William A. Christian swore new Commissioners Ervin Mansfield and Nathan E. Paschal <br />into office, along with re-elected Commissioners F. Hubert Garner and Bertha L. <br />Matthews. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony. <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners <br />present were Jimmie M. Cox; F.Hubert Garner; Thomas Ervin Mansfield; Bertha L. <br />Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz, Nathan E. Paschal; and Robert T. Reives. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was transacted: <br />Chairman Garner delivered the invocation. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board the first order of business was the <br />election of a Chairman for a one-year term.
