11)7 <br />aooK 16 PACE 723 <br />N.C., or if the name of the college be later changed, then the <br />president of such successor institution shall be a member by virtue <br />of holding said office <br />d) Two (2) members appointed by the Board of Directors of the <br />Lee County Committee of 100, Inc. <br />3) One (1) member appointed by the Board of Commissioners for <br />the Town of Broadway, N.C. <br />The initial terms for additional appointees shall be of such duration that <br />one-half of each appointing authority's appointees' terms will expire <br />each June 30 and that the usual term of appointment will be for two <br />years. <br />Each director shall take office at the monthly meeting of the Board of <br />Directors held in the month next following the date of his/her <br />appointment. Each director shall be a Lee County resident. <br />The Appointing Authority may remove any member of the Board of <br />Directors, at any time or without cause. <br />B) Delete the words and figures "3rd Monday in the month of July at <br />12:00 noon in Section 3 of Article Ill and insert in lieu thereof the <br />words and figures "2nd Wednesday in the month of July at 4:30 p.m." <br />C) Delete Section 9 of Article III and insert in lieu thereof the following: <br />Section 9, Registration of Directors. Any Director may resign at any <br />time by giving notice thereof in writing to the appointing authority. <br />Such resignation shall take effect at the time specified therein or if <br />no time is specified, at the time such resignation is received by the <br />appointing authority, unless it shall be necessary to accept such <br />resignation by its terms before it becomes effective, in which event the <br />resignation shall take effect upon its acceptance by the appointing <br />authority. <br />D) Delete Section 10 of Article III and insert in lieu thereof the following: <br />Section 10. Vacancies. Any vacancy occurring in the Board of <br />Directors shall be filled by the appointing authority. A Director named <br />to fill a vacancy shall take office immediately and shall serve for the <br />unexpired term of his/her predecessor in office. <br />E) Delete word and figure "three (3) in Section 12 of Article III and insert <br />
