After much discussion Commissioner Cox moved to table the request until the <br />Board of Education can supply a line item account of how the money will be expended <br />and a copy of the study currently being completed concerning the use of old furniture. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a resolution to abandon SR 1552, Broadway School Road. <br />Board of Education representatives Robert Logan and Jerry Batchelor discussed this <br />matter with the Board and answered questions. Commissioner Paschal moved to approve <br />the following: <br />RESOLTUION <br />ABANDON SR 1552, BROADWAY SCHOOL ROAD <br />WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners requesting the abandonment of SR 1552, Broadway School Road, from <br />the State System, as described; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is of the opinion that the above <br />described road should be abandoned for the remodeling and new building of Broadway <br />School. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners hereby requests the Division of Highways to abandon SR 1552, Broadway <br />School Road. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Cooperative Agreement and Lease between the Lee <br />County Board of Education and the County of Lee. Lee County Board of Education <br />Representative Robert Logan discussed the agreement and lease with the Board and <br />answered questions along with Recreation Director Jennifer Sipe. After some discussion <br />Commissioner Cox moved to approve a Cooperative Agreement and Lease between the <br />Lee County Board of Education and the County of Lee, a copy of which is attached to <br />2 <br />
