® Boos 16 PACE 73- 0 0 4 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 21, 1997 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners <br />present were Jimmie M. Cox; F. Hubert Garner; T. Ervin Mansfield; Bertha L. Matthews; <br />J J. Douglas Moretz; Nathan E. Paschal and Robert T. Reives. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was transacted: <br />Chairman Garner delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered approval of the draft of the minutes' of the January 6, 1997, <br />regular meeting and closed session meetings. Commissioner Moretz moved to approve <br />the minutes' as the official record of said meetings. Commissioner Matthews seconded <br />the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. Commissioner Cox moved to <br />approve the agenda as printed. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a resolution to reissue School Bond Anticipation Notes for <br />the Lee County Board of Education. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle explained the <br />resolution to the Board and answered questions. Commissioner Matthews moved <br />approval of the following resolution: <br />
