BOOK 16 0 0 5 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Averett told the Board the Planning Board recommended approval of the <br />petition by Dowell Eakes to rezone from Residential Agricultural District 13.36 acres of <br />land at the intersection of Blackstone Road and Worthy Road for a five-lot major <br />subdivision. Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the recommendation of the <br />Planning Board. Commissioner Mansfield seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Averett told the Board the Planning Board recommended approval of the <br />preliminary plat for NOLE Properties located on Minter School Road. Commissioner Cox <br />moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Board. Commissioner Paschal <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Averett told the Board the Planning Board recommended approval of the <br />preliminary plat for Jerry and Elizabeth Ragland on Blackstone and Worthy Roads. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to accept the recommendation of the Planning Board. <br />Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a foster care position for the Department of Social Services. <br />Social Services Director Diane Lamb asked the Board to approve extending a 3/5 time <br />foster care position to full time. She told the Board this position needed to be increased <br />due to the current heavy caseload in foster care. The State has increased SSBG funding to <br />cover this position at a 75%/25% rate. An additional $14,726 will be needed to fund this <br />full time position if approved, with the County's share being $3,682. After some <br />discussion Commissioner Reives moved to approve extending the 3/5 time foster care <br />position to a full time position as requested. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />5 <br />
