0 BOOK 16 pAu 8 004 <br />• resolution to proclaim April 20-26, 1997 as Infant <br />Immunization Week in Sanford Lee County (copy attached <br />and made a part hereof) <br />• bids for heating and cooling units at the Government Center <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives discussed with the Board a recent article in The Sanford <br />Herald concerning a cash advance of $1 million needed by the Board of Education to keep <br />construction at the elementary school at Tramway on schedule. After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Reives moved to freeze the Board of Education's current expense and <br />capital outlay funding at the FY 1996-97 appropriation levels until a joint meeting is held <br />between the two Boards. Commissioner Mansfield seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Herb Mucks, representing Habitat for Humanity, gave the Board a brief <br />history on this agency and asked their support in getting new applicants for this non-profit <br />project. <br />Commissioner Paschal moved a resolution be submitted to the Sanford Lee County <br />Airport Authority thanking them for saving the County money and the excellent work the <br />Authority is doing. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered tax foreclosures on 1995 delinquent real estate taxes. Tax <br />Administrator Roger Kelley presented a list of tax foreclosures and asked the Board to <br />allow him to begin tax foreclosure proceedings. After some discussion Commissioner <br />Moretz moved that Tax Administrator Roger Kelley begin tax foreclosure proceedings on <br />1995 delinquent real estate taxes.
