0 0 <br />BOOK 16 Pact S34 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />Commissioners for Lee County as follows: <br />1. That it extends its sincere congratulations to Rev Delois <br />Williams for four years of dedicated service to the Ebenezer Gospel <br />Assembly Training Center, Inc. <br />2. That it extends its sincere appreciation to Rev. Williams <br />for her dedicated service to the community of Lee County. <br />3. That a copy of this resolution be presented to Rev. <br />Williams on behalf of the Lee County Board of Commissioners. <br />Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and <br />Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted <br />unanimously. <br />The Board considered a matter concerning the Parks and <br />Recreation Department and a joint venture with the Lee County <br />Schools concerning a proposed new park to be located at the new <br />school site which will be constructed off of McNeill Road. County <br />Manager William Cowan was instructed to meet with Recreation <br />Director Jennifer Sipe to discuss this matter. <br />County Manager William Cowan told the Board the North <br />Carolina Parks and Recreation Authority has notified the County they <br />have received a grant from the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund <br />(PARTF) in the amount of $52,375 for the San-Lee Land Acquisition <br />project. He also passed out to the Board information on cell tower <br />sites and assessed valuations of these pieces of property. <br />Commissioner Reives asked the Board to include, during the <br />closed session, discussion of a personnel matter. Commissioner Cox <br />seconded the motion to add this item to the agenda, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and <br />Reives <br />Nay: None <br />13 <br />8 <br />
