GE ~J ~ ~ <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MAY 19, 1997 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 p.m. in the <br />Commissioners' Room, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners present were Jimmie M. Cox; F. Hubert Garner; T. <br />Ervin Mansfield; Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz; Nathan E. <br />Paschal and Robert T. Reives. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />Commissioner Ervin Mansfield delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered additional agenda items to be discussed. <br />Commissioner Reives asked the Board to consider a resolution <br />honoring Rev. Delois Williams and a matter concerning Parks and <br />Recreation. Commissioner Matthews moved to add the above items to <br />the consent agenda. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and <br />Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Moretz asked that two items be pulled from the <br />consent agenda for further discussion and Commissioner Matthews <br />asked one item be pulled. <br />Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the consent agenda as <br />printed, with the above three deletions, which consisted of the <br />following items: <br />0 minutes of the May 5, 1997 regular meeting <br />
