R. <br />Hoyle went over the General Statues of North Carolina as they relate to the care, <br />treatment, control or impounding of animals. After some discussion Commissioner <br />Matthews moved to hold animals seven (7) days, at owners expense, before being <br />disposed of (a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a <br />part hereof). Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to hold a public hearing concerning an <br />ambulance request from Lee County by Central Carolina Hospital. Commissioner <br />Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board Central Carolina Hospital had <br />submitted an application for an ambulance franchise for Lee County. Public hearing <br />dates were set at the last regular meeting to hear comments, if any, from the public. <br />Mr. Glenn Davis, Administrator from Central Carolina Hospital, spoke in favor <br />of the application request. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to close the public hearing. Commissioner <br />Mansfield seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the following ordinance: <br />3 <br />
