BOOK 16 Fria 96 0 0 2 <br />• minutes of the May 19, 1997, 4:00 p.m. closed session meeting <br />• renewal service agreement for provision of residential services to <br />Harnett and Johnston County <br />• resolution in support of a local option one-cent sales tax (copy <br />attached and by this reference made a part hereof) <br />Commissioner Mansfield seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a $176,400 letter of credit for the final plat for Cheshire <br />Farms. Commissioner Mansfield moved to approve a letter of credit in the amount of <br />$176,400 for the final plat of Cheshire Farms which was presented by Planning <br />Director Trevis Averett. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a petition by Clarence L. Hubbard, Sr. to rezone 10.47 <br />acres of land at 4212 Cox Mill Road. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the <br />recommendation of the Planning Board. Commissioner Mansfield seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to table the rezoning request of John C. Daniel, <br />III to rezone six (6) acres of land at 2514 Jefferson Davis Highway. Commissioner <br />Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />2 <br />
