0 0 <br />60DK 222 <br />NGE 675 <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better- Tomorrow <br />MINUTES OF THE JOINT MEETING <br />BETWEEN THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AND <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION <br />SATURDAY, MARCH 7, 2009 <br />A joint meeting of the Lee County Board of Commissioners and the Lee County <br />Board of Education was held Saturday, March 7, 2009, in the Assembly Room of the Heins <br />Education Building, 106 Gordon Street, Sanford, North Carolina. The joint meeting was <br />part of the Board of Educations Annual Planning Retreat. Commissioners attending were <br />Amy M. Dalrymple, Richard B. Hayes, Nathan E. Paschal, and Linda A. Shook. <br />Commissioners not attending were James C. Kelly, Larry "Doc" Oldham, and Robert T. <br />Reives. <br />Commissioners met with Board of Education members at 12:00 noon and <br />participated in a round-table discussion involving funding issues for the upcoming year, <br />possible budget cuts and improving and maintaining school facilities. At 1:15 p.m. the <br />meeting adjourned to Lee Senior High School where a tour of one of the new POD units <br />was conducted. <br />No action was taken by the Lee County Board of Commissioners. <br />.
