Public Works Director <br />Kenny Cole presented to the Board a revised layout for the building. After some <br />discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to approve the proposed layout for the new <br />Emergency Services Building, with the addition of an exit from the lounge area <br />through the wash bay to the vehicle bays. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request to amend the agreement between the Lee <br />County Economic Development Corporation and Imperial Freezer. County Attorney <br />K. R. Hoyle told the Board the LCEDC wished to amend its agreement with Lee <br />County to have it reflect only the amount of grant furnished by Lee County to <br />Imperial Freezer. Commissioner Cox moved approval of the following resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the budget for the economic incentive program for imperial <br />Freezer Services, LLC, reflects that Lee County's grant to the Lee County Economic <br />Development Corporation was for $20,400; and <br />WHEREAS, the Grant Agreement in Exhibit B, Item 5 required the project to <br />be completed in such time that the improvements on the ground by January 1, 1997 <br />would produce ad valorem taxes to the County in the amount of $40,800, which <br />amount reflected incentives paid from a source other than the County; and <br />WHEREAS, Imperial Freezer Services, LLC, has made improvements by <br />January 1, 1997 which will pay the County $29,368.92 this year; and <br />WHEREAS, the other party furnishing incentives did not require <br />reimbursement as contemplated by the County's agreement and is satisfied with the <br />improvements made by Imperial Freezer Services, LLC; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Economic Development Corporation desires to <br />amend its agreement with Lee County to have it reflect only the amount of grant <br />furnished by Lee County; <br />6 <br />
