Mr. Clyde Garner of 5035 Lake Willett Road spoke in favor of the rezoning request. No one spoke in opposition to the request. Planner Althea Thompson outlined the second rezoning request by Ms. Beth Brown Degon to rezone 2.90 acres of land at 2700 Jefferson Davis Highway for the sale of water gardens and equipment, water plants, shrubbery, and statuary. Ms. Beth Brown Degon of 2700 Jefferson Davis Highway spoke in favor of the rezoning request. No one spoke in opposition to the request. Commissioner Moretz moved to go out of the joint public hearings. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Chairman Garner called the closed session back to order and business continued. After discussion in closed session, Commissioner Reives moved to go out of closed session. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the Board was once again in open session. Commissioner Reives moved to approve an Agreement for the Grant of Lee County Funds to Frontier Spinning Mills, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof.
