County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board they needed to decide <br />the terminology they wished to use in the new Ordinance book when it relates to <br />"Chairman, Chair, or Chairperson." Commissioner Matthews moved to use the term <br />"Chair" in the new Lee County Ordinance Book. Commissioner Paschal seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a delay in the next property revaluation. Tax Administrator <br />Roger Kelley asked the Board to delay the next property revaluation until January 1, 2001 <br />due to changes in the computer system and software. He told the Board it would be <br />impossible to complete the revaluation by January 1, 1999 as currently scheduled. After <br />some discussion, Commissioner Paschal moved to delay the next property revaluation until <br />January 1, 2001. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a tax appeal by the Church of Christ of Sanford concerning <br />a tax exemption for 1996. Attorney Hugh Moore spoke on behalf of the Church of Christ <br />of Sanford. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the tax appeal by the Church for a <br />tax exemption for 1997. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion. After further <br />discussion, Commissioner Moretz moved to table the matter for a tax exemption for 1996. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: Cox and Garner <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to two vote. <br />The Board considered mobile homes constructed prior to July 1, 1976. <br />Commissioner Matthews asked the Planning Board to look into the issue of the possibility <br />of allowing older mobile homes constructed prior to July 1, 1976 (Class C) to be placed <br />5 <br />
