Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the Board was <br />in closed session. After completing business in closed session, Commissioner Paschal <br />moved to go out of closed session. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives made the following statement. "I was highly offended with <br />the language used by the Superintendent in a lot of this material. It was no indication that <br />he represented the Board of Education. He spoke in the context of it being his decision <br />and his wishes and his demands. I don't appreciate that at all and I want the record to <br />show that. He is supposed to work for and represent the Board of Education." <br />Commissioner Mansfield moved to approve the Joint Resolution and Settlement <br />Agreement between the Lee County Board of Commissioners and the Lee County Board <br />of Education, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a <br />part hereof. Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Paschal <br />moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting <br />adjourned to the Gordon A.
