Information Services Director Lesa Price told the Board it <br />would cost approximately $110.00 for the County to make and install a road sign. <br />Currently there are 98 roads identified that will be needing signs and approximately 250 to <br />300 more roads that will require a sign once the project is complete. The recommendation <br />of the County Manager was to approve authorization to set up a budget amendment in the <br />amount of approximately $33,000 and use funds from the E-911 surcharge to provide <br />road signs as needed if no other alternative was available. Commissioner Reives made a <br />motion to look at other options first to obtain these signs, and in the future to state a <br />budget amendment was being established to allocate money. This award was based on the County's comprehensive annual financial report for <br />the fiscal year that ended June 30, 1996. <br />The Board considered recommendations of the Planning Board. Assistant <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Board the Planning Board recommended <br />approval of the rezoning petition by J. Clyde Garner to rezone from Residential <br />Agricultural District to Light Industrial District 7.59 acres of land at 3015 Beechtree <br />Drive, excluding that portion fronting along and lying within 30 feet west of the centerline <br />of Beechtree Drive right-of-way. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the <br />recommendation of the Planning Board. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />
