eoo 17 FriH 88 C O 1 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />OCTOBER 6, 1997 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 8:00 am in the Commissioners' Room, 106 Hillcrest Drive, <br />Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners present were Jimmie M. Cox; F. Hubert Garner; <br />T. Ervin Mansfield; Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz; Nathan E. Paschal and <br />Robert T. Reives. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was transacted. <br />Commissioner Bert Matthews delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered additional agenda items. Commissioner Cox asked the <br />Board to consider a recent tabled rezoning request by Cecil Cameron. Commissioner <br />Moretz asked the Board to discuss the Wilrik Project. Commissioner Reives asked that <br />two personnel matters be added to the closed session. Commissioner Cox asked the item <br />concerning the location of the painting "Kinfolk of Virginia Dare" be removed from the <br />agenda. Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the three additions and one deletion of <br />the above items to the agenda. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which <br />included the following items: <br />• minutes of the September 22, 1997 regular meeting <br />• minutes of the September 22, 1997 closed session <br />• agreement between Lee County and Computer Center Software <br />• purchase of equipment and software for Department of Social Services <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />
