BUUK 1~ PAL'i '1~1 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA #rt##iitkk##rtrtitk##kirtrtii#4#k#rt#i#####tk#rtit#i44k####i##4######rt############# OCTOBER 20, 1997 #####rt##4k###iii#k#####iit#k###irtrt##k4k#####ii##k####rt######t#############t# The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 pm in the Commissioners' Room, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners present were Jimmie M. Cox; F. Hubert Garner; T. Ervin Mansfield; Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz; Nathan E. Paschal and Robert T. Reives. Chairman Garner presided and the following business was transacted. Commissioner Bert Matthews delivered the invocation. The Board considered additional agenda items. Commissioner Moretz asked the Board to discuss hiring procedures for department heads and Commissioner Reives asked the Board to look at a video of a water flood problem at 2825 Chippendale Trail. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the added agenda items. Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Commissioner Mansfield moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which included the following items: • minutes of the October 6, 1997 regular meeting • minutes of the October 61 1997 closed session • minutes of the September 22, 1997 closed session • minutes of the August 18, 1997 closed session • minutes of the July 21, 1997 closed session • tax releases and refunds for September, 1997 (copy attached) • donations received from local businesses for Hillcrest Youth Shelter • revisions to Community-Based Alternatives (CBA) Program Agreement for the juvenile restitution program • budget amendment # 10/20/97/08 (copy attached)
