The following individuals were appointed to serve on this Committee: <br />Rev. Joe Morgan <br />Tim Preston <br />Susan Condlin <br />Peggy Dilworth <br />Loretta Delamere <br />John Bins <br />Maria Power <br />Oscar Keller, Jr. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to add three additional auxiliary board members to this <br />Committee that are current or past welfare recipients. These members would have no <br />voting privileges. After some discussion, Commissioner Matthews moved to add Eve <br />Spivey to one of these auxiliary positions and appoint the remaining two at the next <br />meeting on November 17, 1997. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board discussed a proposed Board Retreat for Commissioners. After some <br />discussion, it was decided the matter would be closed for the time being. <br />School Board Finance Officer Susan Little presented a quarterly financial report <br />concerning the Lee County Board of Education. <br />The Board considered recommendations from the Planning Board. Planner Althea <br />Thompson told the Board the Planning Board recommended amendments to the <br />Watershed Protection Ordinance for Lee County. She told the Board staff of the Division <br />of Water Quality had reviewed Lee County's Watershed Protection Ordinance as amended <br />on September 16, 1996 to reflect the minimum standards required by the State's Water <br />Supply Watershed Protection Program. The Division of Water Quality recommends <br />additional text changes in order for the ordinance to meet the minimum statewide <br />2 <br />
