COMMISSIONER VOTED FOR Cox Cox Garner Cox Mansfield Cox Matthews Moretz Moretz Moretz Paschal Moretz Reives Moretz Mr. Hoyle announced that Commissioner Cox had received three votes and Commissioner Moretz had received four votes, and therefore Commissioner J. Douglas Moretz had been selected Vice Chairman for the coming year by a four to three vote. Commissioner Garner made a motion the vote for Chairman and Vice Chairman be unanimous. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives Nay: Cox The Chairperson ruled the motion failed because of one dissenting vote. The Board considered a resolution fixing time, date, and place of regular meetings. Chairperson Matthews moved to approve the following: BE IT RESOLVED the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee as follows: SECTION 1. The Board of Commissioners shall hold a regular meeting on the first and third Mondays of each month. If a regular meeting day is a holiday on which County offices are closed, the meeting shall be held on the next business day or such succeeding day as may be specified in the motion adjourning the immediately preceding regular meeting. SECTION 2. Regular meetings shall be held in the Commissioners' Room, 1st Floor, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. SECTION 3. The regular meeting on the first Monday of each month will begin at 8:00 a.m. The regular meeting on the third Monday of each month will begin at 4:00 p.m. SECTION 4: The County Manager is directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be posted on the courthouse bulletin board and a summary of it to be published at least ten (10) days before the first meeting to which the resolution is to apply. 2
