Douglas Moretz had been <br />selected Vice Chairman for the coming year by a four to three vote. <br />Commissioner Garner made a motion the vote for Chairman and Vice Chairman be <br />unanimous. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: Cox <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion failed because of one dissenting vote. <br />The Board considered a resolution fixing time, date, and place of regular meetings. <br />Chairperson Matthews moved to approve the following: <br />BE IT RESOLVED the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee as <br />follows: <br />SECTION 1. The Board of Commissioners shall hold a regular meeting <br />on the first and third Mondays of each month. If a regular meeting day is a holiday on <br />which County offices are closed, the meeting shall be held on the next business day or <br />such succeeding day as may be specified in the motion adjourning the immediately <br />preceding regular meeting. <br />SECTION 2. Regular meetings shall be held in the Commissioners' Room, <br />1st Floor, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />SECTION 3. The regular meeting on the first Monday of each month will <br />begin at 8:00 a.m. The regular meeting on the third Monday of each month will begin at <br />4:00 p.m. <br />SECTION 4: The County Manager is directed to cause a copy of this <br />resolution to be posted on the courthouse bulletin board and a summary of it to be <br />published at least ten (10) days before the first meeting to which the resolution is to apply. <br />2 <br />
