Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one vote. <br />The Board considered space needs at the Lee County Courthouse. <br />Commissioner Moretz expressed concerns in regards to space needs for some <br />departments at the Courthouse. Chairperson Matthews appointed a committee to <br />study space needs for each department and bring a recommendation back to the <br />Board. Public Works Director Kenny Cole, District Attorney Bill Huggins, Clerk of <br />Court Lucille York, Commissioner Doug Moretz, Sheriff Billy Bryant and President <br />of the Lee County Bar Association Elizabeth Boone were appointed to the <br />committee. No action was taken on the matter. <br />The Board considered parking at the Lee County Courthouse. After some <br />discussion it was decided the committee appointed above would study the parking <br />issue at the Courthouse to see if spaces are labeled correctly. No action was taken <br />on the matter. <br />A proposed new building for the Department of Motor Vehicles and State <br />Highway Patrol was discussed. Commissioner Garner moved the Department of <br />Motor Vehicles and State Highway Patrol be located on one site, using funds <br />appropriated by the General Assembly. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Moretz moved to go into the Lee County Water and Sewer <br />District No. 1 meeting. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the <br />Board was in the Water District meeting. Upon completing business in the Water <br />District meeting, Commissioner Garner moved to adjourn the Water and Sewer <br />District meeting. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />8 <br />
