~C, G <br />(Snof 17 ru 18i <br />been presented to the Health Department by Dr. Ronald Levine, the State's Health <br />Director. The award recognized the agency's promotion of Public Health Month <br />and public health issues. <br />The Board considered an amended agreement for the Grant of Lee County <br />Funds. Economic Development Director Bob I-Icuts asked the Board to consider <br />an amended agreement. Commissioner Garner moved to approve the amended <br />agreement for the Grant of Lee County Funds, a copy of which is attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Cox seconded <br />the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an amended Economic Development Incentive Policy. <br />Economic Development Director Bob Heuts asked the Board to consider <br />amendments to the Economic Development Incentive Policy. Commissioner Cox <br />moved approval of the policy. Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered appointments to the Nursing/Rest Home Advisory <br />Committee. House Bill 897 has been ratified to allow County Commissioners to <br />add five additional members, if they desire, to the Nursing/Rest Home Advisory <br />Committee. Chairperson Matthews nominated Mrs. Louise Corbett; Commissioner <br />Moretz nominated Mrs. Atha Lou Gibson; and Commissioner Mansfield nominated <br />Mr. Henry Stewart. Mrs. Matthews read a letter of resignation from Mr. Beady <br />Waddell, Jr. Commissioner Garner moved to accept the three nominations to the <br />Nursing/Rest Home Advisory Committee and for the Board to think about the <br />remaining two positions and a replacement for Mr. Waddell. Commissioner Cox <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously <br />The Board heard a presentation from Mr. Chick Kraulter of Triangle J <br />Council of Governments concerning services provided by the Council. <br />5 <br />
