BOOR 17 hl CE 19'7 <br />0°?2 <br />• Budget amendments for the Health Department <br />• accept $21,000 from the National Association of <br />County and City Health Officials <br />• accept $ 1,000 from Lederle-Praxis for Baby Bucks program <br />• accept $ 15,000 from Department of Health and Human <br />Services for maternal care coordinator position <br />Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the use of a Statewide Elections information Management <br />System in the Board of Elections Office. MIS Director Lesa Price outlined for the Board <br />the responsibilities the County and State would have concerning cost for this system. She <br />told the Board $20,000 had been budgeted for this hardware/software migration plan, but <br />would probably cost much less than the amount budgeted. After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the use of the Statewide Elections Information <br />Management System in the Board of Elections Office as presented. Commissioner <br />Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz and Paschal <br />Nay: Reives <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one vote. <br />The Board heard a presentation from Ms. Wanda Marsh concerning a new <br />proposed Christian Health Care Adult Day Care Facility in Lee County. Ms. Marsh told <br />the Board the adult population is growing in Lee County and an adult day care facility is <br />needed. After some discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to approve a resolution of <br />support from the Social Services Board for an application to the State for an adult day <br />care facility in Lee County. Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Murray Gould from Affordable Housing Advisors gave the Board a quarterly <br />update on the Wilrik Hotel Project. He told the Board the project should be completed in <br />eight months. <br />2 <br />
