® BOOS 17 I'A~E 2`5`i ® 0' 7 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT OF AN OFFER TO PURCHASE A VACANT LOT ON WADDELL STREET, SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA WHEREAS, the City of Sanford and the County of Lee acquired title to a vacant lot fronting on Waddell Street in the City of Sanford by deed from the Sheriff of Lee County recorded in Book 573, Page 494 in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Lee County which property is more particularly described as follows: Lying and being in East Sanford Township, Lee County, North Carolina and more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a stake in the northeast corner of the lot conveyed by Sophronia (Wilson) Walker and Henry C. Watson to Margaret B. McIver, and running thence South as and with their line, 186 feet to a stake in the Makepeace Box and Lumber Company's north line, thence West as and with its line 59 feet to a stake in said line; thence North, running parallel with the first line 186 feet to an old pine stump at the intersection of the Cicero Heck, Bertha Tyson, and S.D. McIver lot, thence eastwardly, running as and with the McIver and Tyson line 59 feet to the BEGINNING corner; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee and the City Council of the City of Sanford desire to dispose of said property as being surplus to their needs; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee as follows: I. That the vacant lot on Waddell Street, Sanford, North Carolina, hereinbefore described is hereby to be surplus to the needs of the County of Lee. 2. That the County of Lee, in conjunction with the City of Sanford, has received an offer from Ms. Addie J. Reives of 1217 Womble Road, Sanford, North Carolina, 27330, to purchase for the sum of Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1,200) the property hereinbefore described. 3. That the County of Lee with the concurrence of the City of Sanford proposes to accept the offer provided deposits are made in accordance with the other provisions of this resolution. 4. The offeror shall deposit with the Lee County Finance Office the some of Seventy Dollars ($70.00) to defray the cost of advertising and administrative services in connection with this offer. Failure to make such deposit within thirteen (13) days following mailing of notice of such requirement by the Clerk to the Board will negate any further proceedings under this resolution.
