The resolution adopted by the Board at its regular meeting on March 16, 1998 calling for a public hearing on April 20,1998 on the aforementioned project is hereby rescinded. Section 2. That a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners be held on Tuesday, April 7, 1998 at 5:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room on the first floor of the Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, for the purposes of holding a public hearing on the request for incentive funds of up to $683,778.00 by the Lee County Economic Development Corporation to participate in the cost of site preparation at the Frontier Jet Spinning project and to consider and pass upon the question of whether or not it should authorize, in whole or in part, an economic development grant to the Lee County Economic Development Corporation for the Frontier Jet Spinning project; Section 3. The Clerk to the Board is authorized and directed to give notice of said meeting as required by law and the rules of this Board. Section 4. The action of the Chairperson and Clerk to the Board in causing notice of the public hearing to be held on April 7, 1998 to be published in The Sanford Herald on March 27, 1998 on behalf of the Board of Commissioners is hereby adopted, confirmed and ratified. Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews and Paschal Nay: None The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously.
