County Manager William Cowan asked the Board to approve accepting bids for <br />the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) building on May 7, 1998. Commissioner Garner <br />moved to approve the above request. Commissioner Mansfield seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the naming of' new private roads in Lee County. E-911 <br />Coordinator Don Kovasckitz presented to the Board a list of recommended names <br />approved by the Planning Board. After some discussion, Commissioner Garner moved to <br />approve the list of names presented, which are attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof, with the exception of changing Caleb Lane to Salamander <br />Lane and Ellis-Jordan Lane to Jordan Lane. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered recommendations from the Planning Board. Commissioner <br />Garner moved approval of the following Ordinance: <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF <br />LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Lee County, North Carolina, that <br />the Zoning Ordinance of Lee County, North Carolina be, and it hereby is, amended as <br />follows: <br />Section 1. Amend Article X, Signs, Section 4. Signs Permitted in all Districts <br />by deleting them (i) in its entirety and replacing it with a revised Section 4 (i) to read as <br />follows: <br />3 <br />
