® 004 <br />BOU3 V rr„E 2* 6J <br />• Resolution supporting tougher sentencing for convicted drug dealers (copy <br />attached) <br />• Resolution to request support of a revision to increase the fees currently <br />charged under the Costs of Court for "facilities fees" and "officer fees" <br />(copy attached) <br />• Project Tomorrow Grant for Lee County Parks and Recreation <br />Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a resolution honoring Dr. John E. Dotterel for 60 years of <br />professional service to the people of Lee County. Commissioner Garner moved to <br />approve the resolution honoring Dr. Dotterer. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and at this time <br />presented the resolution to Dr. Dotterer. <br />The Board also presented resolutions to Ms. Ashlee Quinones and Mr. Stan Hales, <br />for his father, Bob Hales. <br />The Board considered recommendations from the Lee County Hunting <br />Regulations Study Committee. Don Buie, Chairman of the appointed Hunting Committee <br />presented two different drafts to the Board for consideration. After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Reives moved to display Draft # 2, and hold a public hearing on this draft <br />at the next regular meeting on April 20, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. A copy of the draft is attached <br />to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof Commissioner Cox seconded <br />the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved that action be taken on the hunting regulation matter <br />immediately following the public hearing on April 20, 1998.
