BOOS 17 'r, E 6 <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Planner Althea Thompson outlined the first rezoning petition by Stan Hales to <br />rezone from Residential Agricultural District to Highway Commercial District, 4.74 acres <br />of land on the east side of Jefferson Davis Highway, approximately 250 feet south of the <br />intersection of Jefferson Davis Highway and Hickory House Road. <br />The following individuals spoke in favor of the request: <br />Stan Hales, 1405 Gormly Circle <br />John Daniel, 2250 Cape Jasmine Drive <br />The following individuals spoke in opposition to the request: <br />Robert Faulk, 3807 Hickory House Road <br />Shirley Faulk, 3805 Hickory House Road <br />Mozelle Hickman, 3700 Willett Road <br />Jerry Moss, 116 Willett Road <br />Mrs. Thompson outlined the second rezoning request for Cathy Knapp to rezone <br />from Residential Agricultural District to Highway Commercial District, 2.16 acres of land <br />on the east side of Jefferson Davis Highway, near the intersection of Jefferson Davis <br />Highway and Rocky Fork Church Road. <br />Ms. Cathy Knapp of 8509 Peachtree Drive spoke in favor of the rezoning request. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Mrs. Thompson outlined the third and final rezoning request for Roy Mashburn to <br />rezone from Residential Agricultural District to Highway Commercial District, <br />approximately 1.25 acres of land at 3216 Hawkins Avenue. Attorney Robert Gilleland, <br />representing Mr. Mashburn, spoke in favor of the rezoning request. <br />The following individuals spoke in opposition to the request: <br />Jerry Cox, 3224 Hawkins Avenue <br />Terry Batchelor, 3226 Hawkins Avenue <br />Commissioner Moretz moved to close joint public hearings with the Lee County <br />Planning Board. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />6 <br />
