The following individuals spoke in favor of the proposed draft for hunting regulations in Lee County: Hayden Lutterloh, Jr., 1812 Brandon Circle Bill Schubert, 4918 Pinewood Trail Ronald Cameron, S. Franklin Drive Charles McLeod, 2513 S. Plank Road Jerry Lemmond, 1403 Spring Lane Mr. Gerald Shaw of Valley Road spoke, but was neither for nor against the proposed draft. He stated he would like the following statement incorporated into the proposed draft: "In Lee County it shall be unlawful to hunt upon the lands of another with bow, black powder gun, center fire rifle, revolver or pistol or to hunt on such lands with shotgun while possessing slug or buckshot ammunition without written permission of the landowner. " No one spoke in opposition to the proposed draft. Commissioner Paschal moved to close the public hearing for proposed hunting regulations in Lee County. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives Nay: None The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Following the public hearing and general discussion, Commissioner Reives moved the above statement from Mr. Shaw be incorporated into the proposed draft and referred back to the hunting committee for consideration. Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Paschal and Reives Nay: Moretz The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one vote. Commissioner Garner moved to go into joint public hearings with the Lee County Planning Board. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives Nay: None 5
