r <br />BOOK 1`7 rtr,r <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The following individuals spoke in favor of the proposed draft for hunting <br />regulations in Lee County: <br />Hayden Lutterloh, Jr., 1812 Brandon Circle <br />Bill Schubert, 4918 Pinewood Trail <br />Ronald Cameron, S. Franklin Drive <br />Charles McLeod, 2513 S. Plank Road <br />Jerry Lemmond, 1403 Spring Lane <br />Mr. Gerald Shaw of Valley Road spoke, but was neither for nor against the <br />proposed draft. He stated he would like the following statement incorporated into the <br />proposed draft: "In Lee County it shall be unlawful to hunt upon the lands of another <br />with bow, black powder gun, center fire rifle, revolver or pistol or to hunt on such <br />lands with shotgun while possessing slug or buckshot ammunition without written <br />permission of the landowner. " <br />No one spoke in opposition to the proposed draft. <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to close the public hearing for proposed hunting <br />regulations in Lee County. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Following the public hearing and general discussion, Commissioner Reives moved <br />the above statement from Mr. Shaw be incorporated into the proposed draft and referred <br />back to the hunting committee for consideration. Commissioner Paschal seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one vote. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to go into joint public hearings with the Lee County <br />Planning Board. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />5 <br />
